Invited

We have a calling to do a short term mission trip to the country of Zambia, Africa.  Hopefully this will be a log of how God works in us.  Up to date, this is what has occurred.

2/4/16 - Sherri Avery called Frank and discussed the possiblility of doing a youth/family conference. the entire family would be part of the process.  

           - Sara and Frank discussed this.  We would set it to prayer.  We were preparing for Zoe to leave us after being in our care for nearly a year.  

2/8/16 - After a meeting in Galveston for foster care, we drove down the Strand in Galveston where the Mardi Gras parades would take place that evening.  Simeon spotted some money on the ground.  Frank told him to get out and get it.  $65.00 on the ground!  In a joking way, one of the kids said, "Maybe this is the first money to get us to Africa!"

2/11/16 - Sara and Sherri talked while Sara was at park day with the kids.  They dialogued what bringing a family might look like.  

2/12/16 - We left our precious Zoe at the air port in route to her grandmas house.  It was a gut-wrenching goodbye.  

             - That day we left to do ministry in Leon County at FBC Centerville.

We continued to pray, plan, and dream.  Texts & emails exchanged as well as contacted the travel agent. 

2/26/16 - Met face to face with Sherri at FBC Saratoga.  Kyleigh & Olivia also joined us to pursue the possiblility of joining us on this trip.  The tone of the meeting was very positive, and seemed like this was something God was calling us to pursue.  We determined the campaign goal would be somewhere b/t 18 - 19,000.  We prayed, and enjoyed the rest of the day with Frank's family.  

That evening, we mentioned it in a comment on Facebook and Twitter.  Kinda funny.  See screenshots below

2/27/16 - While at foster care training, we received our first support check.
